The Gravel Ridge Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department which protects the community of Gravel Ridge. Our district covers about 14 square miles, to include the populated area of Gravel Ridge, and rural areas north and northwest of Gravel Ridge.

Our Mission

The mission of the Gravel Ridge Fire Department is to respond in a safe manner to all reported emergencies in the community of Gravel Ridge, to help the citizens deal with natural and man-made emergencies with the resources available, and with the utmost regard for the safety of the members of the department, work to the best of it's abilities to limit the loss to life, environment and property.

With the city of Sherwood annexing the community of Gravel Ridge, the Gravel Ridge Fire Department will soon become a combination department. We will have three personnel manning the station 24/7, and still maintain our core of volunteers.


Becoming a Member

If you're interested in becoming a member of the Gravel Ridge Fire Department, we meet on Monday evenings at our fire station which is located at 14814 Hwy 107 at 7:00 p.m. You can call the station or leave a voice mail. Our requirements for membership is a person being at least 18 years of age, generally in good health and live within or close to the Gravel Ridge Fire District.
